As the Nick Jr. program Wow Wow Wubbzy concerns four fanciful characters who use both imagination and positive values like truth, fairness and honesty to solve problems, it might be a good idea to stage a Make It a Wow Wow World game; a consciousness-raising project cleverly disguised as a party game. In this game, kids should be encouraged to work together (just as Wubbsy and his friends Daizy, Walden and Widget do) to figure out solutions to common problems and challenges. Challenges could include “What would you do if you saw another child being bullied?”, “What would you say if someone offered you something to take or drink, that was unfamiliar to you or made you feel uncomfortable?”, etc. Prizes could include Wow Wow Wubbzy toys or DVDs; but kids are sure to get a lot more than playful trinkets from this important game.
