Gymnastics Game Ideas
Balance Game: Who says you need a balance beam to balance? One of the most important aspects about Gymnastics is balance. The goal of this game is to be the last one standing.

Setup:
1. Balance beam if you have one
2. One ball per person that is large enough to sit on
3. Music
4. Leader (adult)

Playing:
The leader will let the group of children know which move to do by demonstrating it. As the leader calls each move, the children will hold it until they fall. The first one that falls is out of the running and the other participants move on to another move. The cycle keeps going until only one person remains.

To make it more challenging, you can alternate moves rapidly and eliminate people as they cannot hold their balance on the change in stance.

Gymnastics Party Ideas

Gymnastics Competition: With Gymnastics representing outdoor fun, what better place to have a Gymnastics competition than in the back yard with friends at your party.

Setup:

1. Play set such as a swing set (not required)
2. Music
3. Leader (an adult)
4. Prizes

Playing:

The rules will be explained to every person that will be competing in the event. A Gymnastics competition involves participants completing the same tasks either the fastest or the best performed.

If you have a swing set, you can make a competition course which involves, climbing, jumping and swinging. If you do not, you can simply incorporate races by foot, hands, kart-wheels, hand stands, frontwards rolls and backwards rolls, etc.

You can make medals out of paper and ribbon or buy them at any dollar store or craft store. Make sure you select events that will be suitable for the age range you are dealing with.
