Horseshoes at the Barbecue
Barbeques being an American tradition deserves an authentic American game! So get that spirit of the wild-west into your next Barbeques party with a game of Horseshoes. Set up a court and divide your guests into two teams. Set up a court which demarcates the foul line within which no one can enter while making a throw. At the center of the court set up a vertical stick, get a hold of four horseshoes and your set to play. Give each team two horse shoes and have them alternately throw horseshoes from opposite sides of the court. If it lands within 6 inches of the stick 1 point to the team. A horseshoe that touches the stick earns 2 points while a “ringer” gets the team 3 glorious points. The team with the most points at the end of 40 throws wins.

Barbeque Glutton
This is a simple game that requires nothing more than what is already present at a normal barbeque party – food, silver ware and hungry guests. Let the participants line up at a table and then blind fold them. Then pass them a bowl of cutlery including everything like spoons, forks and ladles. Let them randomly select one. Then place some food from the barbeques on the plates in front of them and as soon as the whistle rings the participants need to start gulping down the food with their weapon of choice. The first one to clean up their plate wins.
